AN OPEN LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER KEVIN RUDD AND THE ELECTED MINISTERS OF AUSTRALIA
April 23, 2009
Dear Mr. Prime Minister Gillard:
Australia was once the jewel of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, blessed with an abundance of exotic animals unique only to the southern continent. Now, during this the 21st Century, a time that was prophesized as a time for healing, Australia has become a great killing field and the surrounding oceans run red with hidden shame.
The history of the world is consistently about the selfish, (man and his greed) and the unselfish, supposedly the species considered to have a lower grasp of intelligence, that suffer the wanton lust of man’s financial greed.
St. Francis took the lepers to the waters to cleanse them of their unwanted odours. Australians need to rise up and rid the sitting government of their stench.
Thousands of letters have been sent to the Australian government officials, and the replies are cluttered with the classic bowdlerisms that plagued Shakespeare.
In days to come, thousands of kangaroos will be shot and their joeys will be bashed to death; no one can imagine the horror unless they see it as it happens to these beautiful creatures. Watching videos, one can see that they are loving and caring animals; protecting their young and fighting for a land that was once their's and their's alone to share with all the other animals of Australia, living in harmony with each other. Does it not bother you, Mr. Prime Minister that Australia has managed and controlled one third of the wild animals into extinction?
It is not the wisdom of the government that passes the laws of destruction; it is the earthly human animal with the demonic need to dominate.
Respectfully,
Earl H. E. Bingley,
President,
