STORIES ABOUT OUR CHILDREN

Nubia is one of the last girls who came here. It was December 2006 and one of my colleagues at school told me that two doggies were living in his garage and that one of them didn´t want to move or eat and that she smelled very bad. The next day, I went to his house, there she was hidden behind a trailer, very scared. I picked her up and went straight to see Dr. Seri. She had a serious injury on her tail, it was full of maggots and she was also in heat. Two days later she was neutered her tail looked better and had her fur trimmed, she looked like a little lamb. It was Christmas time and my colleague wasn´t at home so I took her to the sanctuary to socialize with the other kids. Two weeks passed and my colleague called me. I took her to her new home, eveyrthing was all right until the moment I said good bye, she started weeping and acted in dispair and did something that hit me straight in the heart, standing on her rear legs she was opening her front legs like asking me to pick her up. I couldn´t help it, I apologized and brought her back home with me.
