PETITION FOR ANIMAL SHELTER IN TURKEY

I am trying to help a friend in Turkey with her petition to request an animal shelter for the stray dogs and cats. She is a member of the local animal association. This is the letter she has sent me

"Turkey does remain shocking. Right now, we are working on a case in the Black Sea city of Zonguldak where a stray dog has been poisoned by the authorities, and a number of primary school kids gathered to watch the animal die - laughing and enjoying the suffering of the dog. Activists in the city are filing for criminal charges against the city. There is a picture of the poor dog on this link if you want to see it, but I need to tell you that it is a very disturbing picture".

We need as many signatures as we can get, because the officials here usually reject our requests for animal shelters saying the residents of the neighbourhood don't want a shelter near them (which might be true because there are so many animal-haters in Turkey. This is a petition that will be addressed to the Turkish authorities for a new animal shelter to be built in the Cayyolu district of Ankara. Scores of stray animals desperately roam the streets of Cayyolu in search of food everyday. Please help end their misery.
